Zion offers a variety
of Christian education opportunities for everyone.
Sunday School is held each week
9:15 - 10:15 a.m.
ADULT:
Men's,
Dorcas and Daughters of Zion - meet together for
instruction and lecture using a structured curriculum. Men's Class
also meets twice a month for breakfast. Daughter's of Zion Class
hold a class meeting once a month.
Sewing
Seeds Class - focusing on faith and relationship issues in
a round table discussion format.
Parenting
- discussing a variety of parenting topics in a warm and supportive environment.
Parents of newborns to those raising teenagers are encouraged to attend.
This class will meet in the library (2nd floor of the education wing).
CHILDREN AND YOUTH:
| Preschool
- meets in the nursery for Bible learning with stories, games, activities,
crafts, free play and snacks. |

Children ages 2 - 5 enjoy colorful
storytelling that encourages their participation. |

Bible
Explorers - meet together for a short worship and praise time then
break into learning centers utilizing the multiple intelligence strategy
of hands-on activities to learn Bible stories. This class is appropriate
for children in Kindergarten through late elementary.

Everyone listens intently as they discover
God listens to them anytime, anywhere. |
During a unit on prayer, children 'lifted'
their prayers to God with the help of the parachute. |
Crossroads – The goal
of this class is to use the Bible as a tool for issues facing young teens.
Topics such as peer pressure, values, and choices will be discussed.
This class will meet in room 207 And is appropriate for children in late
elementary/ middle/ early high school.
Youth - The goal of
this class is an in depth study of the Bible, God’s truths, and discerning
His will. This class meets in the youth room downstairs and is appropriate
for children in late middle school/ high school.
MORE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES:
Cradle
Roll (birth to age 3) - Gifts are given each year to celebrate
milestones and aid in the spiritual development of the child.
Drama
Club - Open to children in Kindergarten to grade six. Rehearsals
are Sunday evenings at 6:30-7:30pm from October to December for the winter
production, and February to April for the spring production. Drama can
include acting, singing, and puppetry.
Puppet
Team - The puppet team holds regular practices for a monthly performance
during the worship service. Fun, creativity, fellowship and evangelism
are what this group is all about! The ensemble is open to children in grades
5 and up.
Vacation
Bible School - Open to the community during June, this week for
children from pre-school to grade 6 presents God's love and faithfulness
through various activities.
Youth
Group - Hold regular business meetings and participates in fellowship
activities.
Faith
Support - Zion also supports families in the faith development.
The Family Library Center contains books, videos, tapes, reference books,
and magazines for both children and parents. Family events occur
every few months during the year and focus on family and faith issues. |
